The theme of the exhibition, curated by the Art Director of the Foundation, Alessandro Schiavetti, is the transposition of the human figure into the stage space and the manifold forms that it has taken on in time and across different geographic areas. It is indeed evident that each culture, from our Western tradition to the Far East and Africa, has felt the need to represent human and imaginary happenings through the use of "figures". The history of the representation and movement of human and anthropomorphous figures, which probably originated from religion, ties in with the history of theatre itself.

Atto finale. Si conclude con una mostra-evento il corso di fotografia Delirum stage, tenuto dallo studio di produzione fotografica Darden Studio e dalla scuola YouCrea! di Firenze. La mostra sarà aperta al pubblico solo sabato 29 ottobre dalle ore 18:00 alle 20:00 presso gli spazi espositivi della Fondazione Culturale Hermann Geiger, in Corso Matteotti 47 a Cecina e vi saranno esposti i lavori prodotti durante il corso, selezionati per qualità e originalità: attraverso lezioni teoriche e set di scatto in interno ed esterno, i partecipanti hanno potuto scattare assistiti da professionisti, sperimentando direttamente sul campo la propria creatività, e metteranno così in mostra i propri risultati. L’evento sarà reso unico grazie all’allestimento di veri e propri set di alta moda immersi nel pubblico; per una sera la Fondazione si trasformerà in un vero e proprio studio di produzione fotografica...

Raffael Benazzi was born in 1933 in Rapperswil, in Switzerland, but has lived on the hills of San Vincenzo since the Sixties. In his artistic journey Benazzi has employed many different materials such as bronze, lead, iron and alabaster but it was the wood carving that definitely gave him ways to express his ideas.
The show presents about 50 statues by Benazzi, of different materials, different dimensions (they can measure from about ten centimetres to up to two metres), covering his artistic experience from the early years in Switzerland to our days, also showing part of his U.S. production.

Liz Gehrer è nata nel 1949 a San Gallo (in Svizzera), dove tuttora vive.
Con la sua arte desidera mostrare una visione insolita, una percezione particolare delle questioni di ogni giorno poiché, diversamente da quello che appare alla maggior parte delle persone, è la quotidianità che risulta essere degna di nota, è nell’ordinario che si nasconde lo straordinario; i temi che pertanto affronta sono ad esempio i rapporti tra gli esseri umani, l’ambiente e la natura, la nostra esposizione al flusso delle informazioni, la possibilità e l’assenza di legami tra gli Uomini.

Il periodo storico risorgimentale, che dal 1833 arriva fino al 1870, ha visto susseguirsi gli eventi che hanno portato all’Unità d’Italia. La mostra ripercorre questi passaggi attraverso ricostruzioni storiche e attraverso i suoi principali protagonisti.
