Foundation
Hermann Geiger Cultural Foundation was established in February 19, 2009.
The name of the Foundation honors the Swiss pharmacist and homeopath Hermann Geiger, who ran a prominent international pharmaceutical business right through the twentieth century. Geiger's heirs were already committed to philanthropic initiatives and projects focusing on the elevation of human dignity, and decided to allocate some of their inheritance for the development of projects consistent with the Foundation's statute, reflecting the goals and ethical values that inspire it.
Profile and aims
The Foundation's primary aim is promoting and developing socio-cultural contacts and exchanges in all fields of human life.
The principle inspiring the Foundation's activities is awareness of the value of life and peace, aiming to promote and improve relations among human beings and nations and the ethical and moral progress of humanity as a whole.
The areas in which the Foundation is active organizing events, projects and initiatives are:
- social commitment
- cultural activities
- focus on territory (cultural heritage and environmental resources)
- education and training
While the Foundation's activities are performed primarily out of its offices in Cecina, Tuscany, their scope is not limited by regional or national borders. The Foundation is interested in all actions, interventions, synergies and partnerships involving qualified counterparts all over the globe, now that the new means of communication have created a global community.
